My Group for the Music Video: Alone again!!!

 Hello bloggers, my name is Jose Retana and I'm back with another blog. Last time we talked about myself, and I formally introduced myself and my hobbies. I also introduced the next project we have to work on. This project is a music video with a storyboard. I have begun the video, but only the song and storyline. 

In this project, I have decided to work alone. I actually HAD a group, but I left after reviewing the project rubric because the video was way too much communicating. It would straight up be too time consuming to have to tell everyone to put this exactly on their blogs. Everyone was cool of course, but that's how I ultimately ended up working alone. 

Even though that sounds sad, I actually love working alone. It takes so much less time and communication. It's just so peaceful to not have to check on anybody to see if they're on the same page as you, AND you get to go ahead. I really just wanted to get the project done. I even weighed out the cons of working alone, like more brainpower. I honestly just use AI to help me whenever I don't understand something and I just paraphrase it and that's how I get around that. 

Anyway, enough talking about my loneliness, let's discuss my song choice. The song I chose was "Pluto Projector" by Rex Orange County. I chose it because it has valuable lyrics. It's about finding and exploring your own emotions and trying to explore the relationships around him, that's at least how I see it. That's pretty much my storyline right now. I am currently in the process of finding conventions of the music and my video. So, expect me to be back bloggers, I will add on to this but for now, until next time. Movie Research: Inception

 Hello, my name is Jose Retana. What conventions of this genre did I see in this movie? This movie has a lot of medium camera conventions like medium shots and medium close ups, helping us see the background while also keeping in touch with the characters emotions. I as well took note of the mix between diegetic and non-diegetic sound, mostly notably in the intro of the movie. Also, the use of sound bridges add layers and smooth transitions. Probably the highlight convention throughout the entirety of this film is cross-cutting, used in the intro and the final scene. Sets and lighting play a major part in this film, which is common for psychological thrillers.  What conventions did I like? I especially liked the use of sets and lighting in this movie, which is common is psychological thrillers. It created a sense of tone and vibe to it. The cross-cutting I liked as well. Production Blog- Testing Around with CapCut

My name is Jose Retana, and I will be talking about editing my commercial today. As of this moment, I have not started but I have my video and pictures ready. The editing platform I will be using to edit my commercial will be CapCut. The reason I did not choose any other editing application was because most cost money (such as Ae), or they are too complicated (such as AlightMotion). Additionally, CapCut provides mobile support for editing on the go, which I find convenient. My teacher also recommended CapCut for the editing of this commercial, so it's probably best that I listen. My problem with using CapCut, though, is that I have minimal experience. So, I will be asking my sibling for some help because he is actually decently experienced at using the editing platform.
