 Hello bloggers, my name is Jose Retana. Today we officially begin filming after the mess that was the mock filming. For a quick recap here are the things I learned and changed because of mock filming. 1. I am now recording in the day. 2. Lines have been memorized. 3. Set up the room to match the setting.  If you'd like to see the process of why I am recording during the day, check out the last blog, it's really interesting and worth a read. This day is split into two, I will record the first scene in the morning, and the second scene in the afternoon. I know this contradicts my schedule plan, but I waited all week to record and I only have two days to film. My next blog will be scene three and the beginning of editing.  Firstly, I'd have to say that scene 1 was the harder one to film.  Hello bloggers, my name is Jose Retana and today I'll pick up where we left off on the last blog. I was unsatisfied with the film I had taken. Even though I memorized the lines, the problem was the setting. Before this, I could not find an ideal time of day to set this on. That was the problem. This mock day was recorded at nighttime, I had my candles and everything.  However, the problem with that was you couldn't clearly see me. This was because the candle wasn't bright enough. I couldn't turn on the lights either, as that would minimize the mood I was trying to create. Even if I were to buy a stronger candle, I wouldn't have time to wait for a day when I could be alone in my room at night. I had siblings and the mock day filming setting was already hard enough to set up. I thought all day but found a solution eventually. I could record in the daytime on a holiday.  Hello, my name is Jose Retana, and today I decided to do a mock filming day because I had nothing else to do. I'm glad I did this mock filming day because I realized a lot of problems that would come with filming a task like this. Let me take you through this mock day of filming step by step. Also, what I learned from this day and the important changes I had to make.  Firstly, I had to prepare setting up the location, my room. This was a lot more difficult than I anticipated it to be. I had to move around my big desk, which is where my filming was going to be revolving around. The most difficult part, however, is that I had to remove anything modern from the scene. I also had to design the props like the papers/documents Ryan Mitchell was looking at. I borrowed some official-looking papers my parents weren't using and slapped them on the table. I also designed some, but they aren't legible.  I did this because I like to think my setting takes place sometime in the past. ...

Hello bloggers, my name is Jose Retana. Here is my title design in terms of how it looks as a font. I’m not sure what the name is but it gives me that “old book” style font and that unsettles me so I’m going with it.  I think that this will be the primary font and color used as I think it contrasts the dark background I’m going with. Gold is also a clean color as well. I’m quite bad a cropping things into place so just imagine this font on the dark background without the white. My titles will mostly be in a semi dark, area of the screen where the lighting does not hit.  As you can see from the font too, my movie name will likely be “Whispers of Betrayal.” Subject to change of course, but I think it could stick.  Back to the titles, my titles will move in and out mostly through a simple cut, like I will transition them when I’m moving to a new camera angle.  Hello bloggers my name is Jose Retana, let’s plan scheduling the project! Everything here is subject to change, this is just an outline.  Filming 2/12/2024- Filming begins, I am dividing the scene into 3 portions. So scene 1, 2, and 3. Scene 1 will be filmed first which is the part that ends with the detective asking his second question.  2/13/2024- Middle part of the scene aka scene 2 is filmed which is where scene 1 leaves off and now up until the point where the detective reveals that he knows. There is a lot of dialogue which is why this small portion will take a day of filming.  2/14/2024- Filming ends with the rest of the script playing out in scene 3.  2/17/2024-3/01/2024- Editing will begin and will try to piece together my scenes to make it fitting to my genre.
